Details

By the time SYNCinc was commissioned to take over this project, the foundation plate for the previously foreseen structure had already been built. The challenge was to invent an elegant and innovative structure within the framework of the existing foundations and the constraint of a low budget.

Since the aviaries (bird cages) were designated for the comparative research of birds, all cells had to be of equal size. A simple and economical solution was realized in the end, resulting in the implementation of an architecturally effective idea through the use of repetitive system of structural arches.
